Alaska borrowers can utilize this program to finance a new home and include renovations, using FHA, VA or Conventional financing. AHFC will allow you to finance 100% of the renovation costs up to $30,000.00. So, for your veterans out there…. You can purchase a new home with nothing down, and finance 100% of your renovation costs as well…. Not a bad deal…

The purchase renovation option can be used for most loan programs that are offered through Alaska Housing & Finance Corporation. The borrower and property must meet current AHFC program guidelines, and the repairs have to be completed within 180 days of closing..
