There are several different government institutions that can help you with your mortgage in Orem.

Most of the programs target First Time Homebuyers and will pay for down payment and/or closing costs. They will have income restrictions and sometimes purchase price limits.

Utah County offers a qualified Orem Mortgage with the option of getting $5,000 to $15,000 depending on the age of the home.  The amount given will be in the form of a 0% interest loan. This 2nd mortgage can be fully forgiven if you stay in the home for ten years.

There are several Qualifications and Requirements for this loan:

  • Not exceed maximum income requirements
  • Meet minimum Credit Score requirements
  • Have not owned a home within the past three years
  • Contribute minimum of $1,000 towards the purchase price
  • Complete pre-homeownership counseling
